21 August 2024. The Ministry of Health, Cambodia issued a press release on the night of August 20 regarding another bird flu death in a 15-year-old girl. It confirmed the H5N1 bird flu virus positive from the National Institutes of Public Health and the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge.

20 August 2024. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Quang Binh Province, Vietnam reported a death by dengue fever in a nine-month-old child. According to the Quang Binh Provincial Center for Disease Control, this is the third dengue-related death recorded since 2020.

13 August 2024. The Bai Chay Hospital in the Northern province of Quang Ninh has just said that its doctors and medical staff are actively treating four cases suffering from Whitmore’s disease, also known as melioidosis.

25 July 2024. The Ministry of Health, Cambodia issued a warning following a mushroom poisoning incident in Ratanakiri province, where 17 individuals were hospitalised.

22 July 2024. The Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health held a meeting with hospitals and relevant units to discuss the two cases that tested positive for pertussis and preventive measures against the disease.

10 July 2024. Ha Tinh Provincial Center for Disease Control has been conducting epidemiological investigations right after Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital received a suspect case for diphtheria with symptoms of sore throat, neck pain and itchy eyes.

8 July 2024. The health authorities in Bac Giang Province, Vietnam have confirmed one case of diphtheria in a female worker who contracted the disease from another patient in Nghe An Province who has since died.

7 July 2024. One more Japanese encephalitis (JE) case was recorded in the Central Province of Dak Lak, said the provincial Center for Disease Control. Therefore, as of July 7, 2024, there have been two confirmed cases of Japanese encephalitis in Dak Lak Province. The latest identified case is a 52-year-old man from Ea Kar District.

5 July 2024. Laos saw a decline in dengue fever cases in the first six months of 2024, compared to the corresponding period of 2023. From January to June 2024, Laos recorded 5,192 cases of dengue fever and the virus has caused three deaths.
