Goal: 

• To strengthen national and sub-regional epidemiology capacity of MBDS countries and Mekong Basin sub-region to early and effectively detect of and response to communicable disease outbreaks, particularly emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.

Objectives:

1. To strengthen capacity of field epidemiology in potential MBDS countries;
2. To strengthen and support epidemiological network in MBDS countries and sub-region;
3. To increase capacity and promote collaboration among human and animal health sectors;
4. To improve epidemiology capacity for early detection and response to disease outbreaks, particularly emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
